08/04/2008 Natural Gas Budget Billing Customers
Natural Gas prices in 2008 have been on the rise and price forecasts for this winter indicate they will continue to be high. Current prices remain higher than what they were last heating season. Thus, it will be important for you to review your budget billing balance each month to ensure your budget payment is covering your actual charges.
Budget billing balances are printed on your monthly invoice. If you receive a consolidated bill from your utility company, the NYSEG Solutions budget balance labeled "Budget Cumulative Difference" is located on the last page of your statement. If you receive your bill directly from us, the Budget Cumulative Difference is located on the front page.
Although we will continue to review your budget billing account on a quarterly basis, we encourage you to review your account Budget Cumulative Difference each time your statement is received. The cumulative budget bill difference should have a credit balance (identified as a negative value on your consolidated utility bill) going into a new heating season. If you do not have a credit balance, you should consider contacting our office to increase your natural gas budget billing payment otherwise your budget amount will be increased upon your next review.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Customer Care Center Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM at 1-800-567-6520.
07/21/2008 Attention Space Heat Customers.
Be prepared for the upcoming winter heating season. If you heat your home with oil, propane, or kerosene and have Natural Gas available on your street, you may want to consider converting to Natural Gas.
In addition to being less expensive, clean burning Natural Gas has several advantages over other fuel supplies. There may also be incentives available from your local Distribution Company to help lower your the conversion cost.
