What is Budget Billing?

The Budget Billing plan estimates your yearly energy costs and spreads your payments evenly throughout the year. That way, you have more control and are protected from seasonal cost peaks. You'll still pay for the exact cost of the gas and/or electricity that you use, but you'll do so in a way that's more manageable. With Budget Billing, your monthly bill will still show your actual usage and the costs for your service for the billing period. We will periodically review your actual charges compared to your budget payment and, if your budget payment is too high or too low, we'll let you know and change the amount on your next bill.

How do I sign up?

Sign up for Budget Billing by calling NYSEG Solutions Customer Service at 1-800-567-6520 and we'll take care of setting your NYSEG Solutions energy supply budget.

How is my Budget Billing at the utility affected if I enroll in the NYSEG Solutions Budget Billing Program?

If you currently have your energy supply costs and delivery costs on budget billing on your utility account, you should contact them to adjust your budget for delivery costs only. We will manage your energy supply costs budget and your utility will manage your delivery costs budget.

How often should I review my Budget Billing Balance?

It is important for you to review your budget billing balance each month to ensure your budget payment is covering your actual charges.

Budget billing balances are printed on your monthly invoice. If you receive a consolidated bill from your utility company, the NYSEG Solutions budget balance labeled "Budget Cumulative Difference" is located on the last page of your statement. If you receive your bill directly from us, the Budget Cumulative Difference is located on the front page.

Although we will continue to review your budget billing account, we encourage you to review your account Budget Cumulative Difference each time your statement is received. A positive value reflects an outstanding balance, a negative value an outstanding credit. If you have a large credit or debit balance, you should consider contacting our office to review your budget billing payment amount.

If I cancel my Budget Billing service with NYSEG Solutions, what happens to my current balance?

The full account balance is due on your next bill.

Please click Contact Us and provide us with your name, account number and explanation of your request. Or, you can contact our Customer Service at 1-800-567-6520.

Automatic Bill Payment

What is Automatic Bill Payment?

For all bills received directly form NYSEG Solutions, we will automatically deduct the amount (via an electronic transfer of funds) from your checking or savings each month on the due date. This free service eliminates the inconvenience of writing a check, putting a stamp on the return envelope, and incurring late charges if your payment is sent in after the due date.

How do I authorize NYSEG Solutions to begin Automatic Bill Payment?

Simply call NYSEG Solutions at 1-800-567-6520 and speak to a Customer Service representative and we will send you an authorization form. Make sure you include a voided check or savings deposit slip.

You can also sign up online by going to My Account and clicking on Online Account Services.

How will I know how much was deducted from my account?

You will continue to receive a complete monthly statement from NYSEG Solutions detailing the amount of energy you used and how much will be deducted from your account on the due date. If for some reason you have made a separate payment sometime during the month, the ABP deduction will only be for the balance due.

When is the ABP deduction made?

The monthly balance you owe is deducted automatically from your account on the due date stated on your NYSEG Solutions bill.

Can I cancel my ABP at any time?

Certainly. The ABP process is for your convenience and can be cancelled at any time at your request. Please contact NYSEG Solutions Customer Service at 1-800-567-6520.

           Can I use ABP with Budget Billing?

           Absolutely. Many customers enjoy both free services.

Online Account Services

Can I view my invoices online?

Yes. Simply go to My Account on the Home Page and click on Online Account Services. To sign up, all you need is a recent NYSEG Solutions Invoice and a current email address.

Can I pay my invoices online?

Yes, if you are a Residential customer and receive an invoice from us that includes your supply charges, go to My Account on the Home Page and click on Online Account Services. You can pay by Visa, Master Card, or Electronic Check. You can make a one-time payment or for reoccurring payments sign up for Automatic Bill Pay. To sign up, all you need is a recent NYSEG Solutions Invoice, a current email address, and your payment type information.
